Public exam results have come. Everyone were around me asking me to open the mark sheet of mm. I am logging in to my laptop and checking the site. The marks are neatly displayed with his Exam no / Name/Date of birth / School name and other details. One by one I am going through the subject and mark. At the end, it is Tamil and mm has scored 27 marks. Ooops. Everyone left me saying that he has failed in the exam. I burst in to tears and started to cry.

This is one dream/nightmare I got last Sunday. Why everything happens to me? mm is in his teen age and doing well in all his subjects except Tamil. Recently he completed his Grade 2 Piano. He also went to Chess Tournament held at Kothagiri and won 5 out of 10. He is an active Tennis player. Still why this Tamil thing is haunting me like anything. Two more years, he will be in to his 10th Standard, is that the reason?

Once I went to a school run by my Co-Sister/Brother-in-law. I was talking with her about the education and how the kids are doing. As the chat continues, she was saying that the parents force the kids to study. I was adding since the education decides the life of a kid, the parents are keen to make sure the kids read. But she said the attitude decides everything. She also added whatever be the force applied on the kid to study, it will only improve 5 to 10 marks. Does the applied force on our little ones worth the 5 - 10 marks was her question..

My hearts understands this equation but my mind worries about the worst. Like any other parent, I too want my kids to study well and get settled in life nicely. Only time can heal my fears. I will definitely read this blog again when my Mowgli is 25 years old to laugh at myself. It is gonna be interesting isn't it?
Just wanted to pen this story which was told by mom long ago. Today, am so happy and so proud to be a woman. But it was not the same before 20 or 30 or 40 years. I used to long for a girl child while i got two boys and my mom used to long for a boy and she got 2 girls and 1 boy. We were talking about this gender related topic while my mom narrated this story to me and my sister.

It was during 1850s.. those were the time when a girl kid was born, it was not even shown to the mother or the father. The tiny one was either killed with paddy seeds in the nose or with kalli paal. Just like, in the movie Karuthamma..

It was those days, when the delivery happens at home, in some portion of the home or in the cow shed. It was my GGGM who has come to her mother's home for her 3rd delivery. GGGM got the girl baby delivered and was unconscious. Her mother took the baby and since it was a girl child ( 3rd in row) & had the umbilical cord around the neck(which is not good/life threatening for the maternal uncle), a big Karupatti was inserted into the tiny mouth so that the baby dies due to suffocation. The tiny new born child was left in the Thinnai outside the house in the cold night to die.

Karupatti :- Palm sugar ie Sugar patty from pannai maram/palm tree.

Thinnai :- The plank or bench outside the home for outsiders to sit.

When my GGGM woke up and searched for the baby, her mother had informed that the baby was left to die since it was a cord around the neck girl baby. I could feel the chill in my spine when I heard those words... Womanhood is like a viruksha / tree is very vital and essential for our Ecosystem. And umbilical cord around the neck.. Nonsense.. What could make them understand things better. It is tootoo late now. What does a women needs when she wakes up from the delivery? What will I do or feel when someone informs me such a nasty thing? It should be the times when people do not think about other's emotional situations or feelings...

With great distress and tear my GGGM ran to the kid it seems. When she came to the thinnai to see the infant, the baby was with twinkling eyes and was sucking the Karupatti. She just took the baby and ran to her husband to safeguard the baby.. With this our GGGM didn't stop and her next deliveries happened at her in-laws place it seems. She should be a strong woman. Happy happy days for them.

It is already written whether our life is going to be a mere mess or a fabulous history. Lets do our part to participate in this journey. See, the tiny girl baby became the tap root of our forth coming family tree. And here I am the 5th generation woman, penning the story.. We all are set out to do what we are meant for, no matter how hard anyone try to stop it, isn't it???
This blog will not say anything about my parent's trip but my ability to handle the situations alone during the trip days ;)

On Sep 15, 2018, My Mom and Dad started their Europe trip by 5 am in the morning and I became the Lady in charge of my house.

Since my kids were having the quarterly exams, I requested leave for 10 days. And my gracious supervisor had granted the same (God bless him). I let out a word that I will work on the GSDs from home (Loose lips sinks ships, isn't it?).

Once my parents left, I became the polite, well behaved, responsible, lady of the home. I neatly swept the room, mopped, washed the dishes and the home was a heaven on the first day. Kids went to music class, read for some time and then we three watched some movie and a show.. though it was a pleasant day as night started, I started to worry. I was the only elder in the whole building itself.. Oops.. I am even scared of my own SHADOW & now I have to handle 15 such nights..

Next day, I washed all the vessels and neatly arranged everything.. The house was so neat and I dint feel like cleaning it again. We had food, had a chat, fought and watched a movie and went to sleep.. Again started the dreadful night and I was finding it very difficult to sleep.. I was even scared to come to the hall. Ooops 14 more nights.

Next day, my kids started to the school and I was able to get some time for myself. I started with my office work. Oops some 35 tickets in queue.. When I was half done with the tickets, it was 12 pm and mm rang the calling bell.. Ooops I forgot my break fast.. gave him some snacks and started with cooking. Thus my time was running in front of me to handle all the tasks which were thrown at me.. We are in 3rd floor without lift facility, so I had to go down for water, vegetables, groceries and everything else too.

Next day, my dearest friends G and S came to my home for a chit chat. It was good to have them with me. We talked for a very long time and I made chapathis, paneer gravy, sambhar and rice for lunch. Prepared Mysore Pak but it was a mess. But I packed and gave them to finish it off ;)

Next day, my dear sissy came home to give me company along with her tiny T. I was calling her daily to say, that I am not sleeping, since it was scary alone. Our home become bright again with people around. My bro too came to check on me. I am a person who is always surrounded by people and especially without MOM/DAD, naan romba paavam..

Various next days came and I was handling things with difficulty. Those are manageable situations but I dint come across for a long long time. My mom, sure is an angel..

I had to attend the calls, open the door for the visitors, attend my dad's customers, listen to the complaints from our tenants, collect rent, water the plant, clean the house, cook food, wash/dry the clothes, Sweep the stairs, Mop the floor, Wash the dish, shop for vegetables and other essential items. I had to run with my night gown to attend the fire accident that happened due to short circuit (Kashtakaalam/Distress situation) I was going out of breathe. Most importantly make my kids learn for their Quarterly exams(My God). Previously I was talking too much on the home maintenance. I was blabbering to mom that i will turn the home upside down to make it look neat and tidy(Big mouth comedian I am). Though I found some time for myself, it was not enough for me. I started thinking about MM which was worse. As days passed, I became rude, uncivilised, reckless and a mere monster as seen by my kids(during the study time).. The GSD tickets, which I agreed to take care haunted me. I dint like the me.. I was scared to the core. I wanted my mom/dad to return soon and to save me from the damage I was causing myself..

On September 30th around 4 pm, my parents returned from their trip.. Wow what a blissful moment. I was the happiest person in the world on that day. I can sleep without any fear the whole night. My parents were happy and they enjoyed the trip. All of us are @ peace now..

Though those were the difficult days for me, I was able to manage it. It gave me time to think about the reality. I think I should list them here and remember it through my life.

My Understanding during the 15 days.

1. My Parents = My Confidence
2. Raising a child is not easy.
3. There is more in life than work.
4. When you are not there, people will replace you at office.
5. Money cannot buy many things
6. Days are longer when you wait for someone whom you love.
7. Nothing is really lost until moms can't find it. (it is for me too ;))

And talking about other achievements during the 15 days

1. Watched few movies without any disturbance not even advertisements

2. Found time to talk with myself and with my kids(Sub chaltha hey)

3. Lost few pounds. (Later gained the same within a few weeks due to the Swizz chocolates ;))

My Sep 2018 is exciting isn't it??

My Monster Mowgli and Naughty Nemo are doing good. mm doing his 6th STD and nm in his 3rd STD. Have put both of them in Tution, Music and Swimming classes.. Both are doing good in Swimming, Tution.. But they do not have THAT interest in Music. I am saying this because they skip lot of classes :( ie whenever I do not remind them that they have their classes.. Previously Nemo was taking Guitar classes but I had to push him hard even to attend the class and he often complained that it hurts in the finger. So shifted to Keyboard classes for him. I am trying to buy them a Keyboard. Lets see.. Both of them are weak in Tamil (our mother tongue) Our friends/relatives just suggest us to take alternative language so that it is easy for them. BUT I WANT THEM TO LEARN OUR LANGUAGE.. I am trying to find a home tutor to teach them Tamil.. Lets see how it goes..

For me, at work I had asked for a change in role and got in to an extended TM support role. So vigorous training is going on for us. The team is going live only during July 1st week. So enjoying workless days for the past 1 month.

On Personal front, I have put on lot of weight so trying to get in to a routine to shed those excess weight. At present I am 65 KG. mm has also put on some weight. I have to accommodate him too in my weight loss program. Will update on the routine and weight loss in my next blog.. Lets see.. And SIL has come to India with her son and daughter. And my kids are eager to visit them.. nm and SIL's son are getting along well(Same age group).. And my poor mm is left alone :( without anyone to give him company similar in his age.. My MIL has developed some spinal dislocation and is on traction. Other than that, everything is going good and expecting the same in the future too..

This is were I spend most of my time everyday..
Though the work is tedious, I will squeeze few seconds to relax my eyes by seeing these colours a little away from the desktop. Those flowers were given by my brother :) Normally I will carry flowers from home, which blooms in our roof top ;) But most of the flowers are from my Pappa, my sweet Darling 63 year old, my patti. Once I told her that I have Baba and Pillayar idol at my office and every time I visit her, she gives me flowers for the idol. Do you think she gives it for the idol? Naaahhh..

Why everyone likes my place:

Fragrance is awesome.
Colours are pleasant to eyes.
Blooms relaxes mind.
It feels good.

Some colleagues visit my place, just to check on the type of the flower, I am displaying..My colleagues are inspired and are bringing flowers adding to the already existing colour and fragrance.

Do you see the Money plant peeking at the left? It is 4 yr old and still smiles at me everyday. I could still remember the day I took it to office. My whole team came to see my plant. Most of them wanted for them too. So i gave them the plants along with the jar of water. Yes we grow them in water pots. It is said (myth) that this plant has to be stolen and has to be raised like a kid. I used to talk with my plant everyday. I also advice it to my fellow colleagues. It works as a vent when I am in pressured situation. While I go to my colleagues place, I will definitely check whether the pot is with water.

The best part of having a money plant is, we don't have to water the plant everyday. A single pot of water lasts for a month providing free oxygen for us in our bay. Nice isn't it?

Just Another day in my life, but when I talk about my boys, it is a special day...

Time flew very fast. My mighty Mowgli is in 5th Standard and my naughty Nemo is in 2nd Standard. God bless them. Have put both of them in a tuition as I am reaching home very late now-a-days. I personally do not like to put the kids in tuition. But without me at home, my kids spend most of their time in TV/Mobile and other games ruining their eyes and mood. Last month my Sissy found a good teacher and both my boys are going there to learn their portions after school. Other than that Mowgli is taking Piano lessons while Nemo is busy with his Guitar classes. Life definitely is very sweet with my boys.
Bro is getting married.

Today early morning 4 AM, I was sleeping and my mobile rang. It was my brother. He walked out few months ago from our house. He was calling me to open the door. I told him to call my mom as I was in my in-laws place. how could I sleep after that call??? He is in love with a girl and is getting married today. He is trying very hard to invite us all to his wedding.. But my mom and dad are so stubborn that they don't even want us to attend the marriage. They are still living in their ages. All I could do was to bless him whole heartedly. My FIL and MIL attended his marriage and showed me few pics from his marriage. Hope everything goes well for him in the coming days.

Video chat with SIL:
Today being Vinayaga Chathurthi, we went to my in-laws place a day before and spent the whole day there. After a very long time, did a video chat with my Sister-in-law in California. She was so excited to see my Mowgli and Nemo tall and all grown.. She asked Mowgli to stand near me and my MIL to check on his height. Mowgli was too eager to talk with her and was blabbering whatever was coming in his mouth. Mostly he was showing all his teeth to her and her little ones. She has a boy (an year younger to Nemo) and a gal an year old(Angel she is..). She was saying that she will visit India next year. The Video chat went on nicely.

Hectic life:
Coming to my official life, it is going very hectic. Have taken reports as a career change. My god, we are being squeezed to the core. I have taken a day off tmr to attend my personal chores. When I go on Wednesday, I will be bombarded with tasks. Let me face them on Wednesday ;)...

Will come back soon..
We at our family, celebrate a day called family day and we celebrated this at Thiruchendoor. We had booked a small resort. I went there with both my kids/my in-laws. My Mom/Dad was not there with me.

They had a small pool where my kids wanted to play. It was a 5.5 feet tall pool and I was supporting my kids to play in the water. At one point of time, nm fell on me with full force while mm tried to come to me. The force pushed me to the center of the pool with nm while mm was left in the water without anyone to help. At that point of time, I realized nobody is there for me though I got a huge family. Everyone was taking care of their kids/ doing some or other works. If my mom/dad were there, things would have been different. With much difficulty i reached to mm and at that time he had drank a lot of water and started to cry. It was all in the game. If I had known swimming, I could have handled the situation in a better way. On that day I came to know how it is important to learn swimming and decided to learn it before End of this year. 52 days to go to bid bye to 2015. I should learn swiming before that. Lets see.
PS, I Love you was the first novel I read. Yes, I started very late. While I was in Germany, I was free most of the time. I will cook, clean home and after that I will just chat with my friend S who was working in India. She too will log out by 2 pm. After that I was on my own. I was just married then without kids. I will go for a long walk. However long the walk is, I will return by 3.

I read, but I am not a novel person and only like short stories. But one of our friend M gifted me few novel and he also commented that I will like them. So thus started my Novel days in Germany. The one attracted me first was PS, I love you. The story was emotional and was so touching anf it talks about love and loss. Basically, it was my kind of novel. I was so involved in the story that in spite of all my fights with MM, I held him very close to me. It talks about Holly and Gerry, loss of Gerry and after effects for Holly. It sure is a nice novel and worth reading. And quote Cecelia left, 'Shoot for the moon, even if you fail, you will land among the stars' sure deserves my credits.

I will not say, that this is a review but this is my blog . I wanted to write and am writing. ;)haha..
I was a TEA Lover. Now-a-days I am becoming a Tea-holic too.
For me tea
goes with mostly everything. I drink my tea with Biscuit,
Muruku, Thatai, Chips, Friends, Colleagues, Kids, Book, Computer, TV, even
with my In-laws..

When can I drink tea? Any time, I drink tea while I get up, while
jogging, while my kids play, while traveling, while working. To put it
together I drink tea all the time.

I used to drink 6
cups of black tea a day at my seat while I work(at home count is not
added). My TL got so irritated(Whenever she peeks into my seat, I will
be sipping tea) She made a rule that no one should have tea at their
seat. And all my colleagues cursed me(you know why) Boys used to tease me saying that I am drinking phenyle/Saraku (black tea) as it supplied free of cost at my office. Thank god, my colleagues does not know about my Turkish tea consumption. While I was in Germany, along with MM and other Friends used to drink Turkish tea continuously for 3 - 4 hrs. (at least 15- 20 cups of tea) Those were blissful days :-)

Once one of my colleague fainted/about to fall due to dehydration and my tea was used as a hydrating tool(Water was not around). But poor gal, puked and went so furious. She asked me, how I am drinking that black liquid. I was thinking that she wasted my precious tea. :P

How to make my Tea?
Hot water + Tea bag + a few grains of sugar or without sugar --> As simple as this.

You can add any other accessories if you really want them.

I have listed some Special teas prepared by my loved ones.

My mom prepares Milk tea with lots and lots of Ginger. I longed for this tea, while I was in Germany/US. Now I am so privileged to drink my mom's tea daily.

My Sister make lite tea with milk. Less Spicy but with lots of love.

My mother-in-law prepares strong herbal tea (with milk) especially for me.

MM once made me tea with Inji mittai can't get such a tea again.. :( We were out of ginger that day)

My close friend A made me green tea at her Patio, I still remember the taste though it was 3 yrs ago.

One day the boy who supplies tea asked me, why do you drink that dirty colored water? Ooops You too.. I drink tea because it is so healthy and the main reason is I like drinking it. Do we need any other reasons?

Today, My mom was asking me to accompany her to a distant relative's house and I was saying that they are bad guys and I do not want to visit them. My Mowglie overheard this it seems. When we started to their house, my Mowgli asked

Mamai, Are we going to visit Bad guy's house? OMG what if he asks this at their home. Only God can save me.

Thank you for all the beautiful souls who helped me all through my deadly times, wiped my tears, held my hands, supported my mind and cleared my way. Special thanks to my dear friends who cooked, cleaned, cared and lit a fire in me to live. I was shouting, crying, blabbering, hitting myself and doing all kind of weird things one can do during a traggic situation. I do not know how my friends would have felt keeping me at their house, feeding me/kids.. My god.. They should be angels..Without you all, I would have been there, but not as I am now.

Thank you, my dear friends!!! You all hold a special place in my heart.

Its been more than 2 years now. I still feel the land shaking underneath me. The only thing which was in my mind was, why to me? One cannot escape his Destiny? Only God knows... Lets see.
I prayed to god(to see/feel good things) and I wanted to share the things I felt/came across during my jog..

It was a misty morning and the sun was just breaking in through all the trees. The scene was awesome.
I saw an old couple, they should be in their 80's walking. (How active people are!!!)
I saw a woman, walking two dogs and a parrot. The parrot was sitting on her shoulder..
I saw a 200 yr old Inn, it is still in operating condition..
I saw a house which was built in 1713.
I saw the third largest sugar maple tree in Ridgefield CT, I tried to hug the tree, nope. I need my whole family to hug the tree..
There is another house just like a gingerbread house. They have lot of Rose bushes with lots of blooms and their fragrance was soo pleasant.
There is a conservatory of dance here and today I heard zumba music for the first time there and lot of woman dancing for that music. I felt the emerging energy.. That was cool..
The air was little chill but as the sun was in, I felt warm.
I saw lots of fresh flowers..
I was greeted by eleven people.
When I entered home, my blooms came running to me saying "Amma"
What else do I want from a Morning jog? God sure is there..

Every kid had arranged the table nicely and prepared tea for their mother. It was awesome. The table had table cloth, vase with flowers, table liner, place mat, neatly folded tissue, name board, trays with cookies, tea and fruits. Every single table had flower vase and everything I mentioned. Even I dont arrange my table as neatly as that. (everything done by the kids) Unfortunately, I dint carry my camera to shoot the interesting moment.. They also celebrated the Teachers appreciation week at the school.. Every kid gave some flowers to the teachers. And my Mowgli made this flower...
After coming from his school, Mowgli started this conversation..

Mowgli: Today I am going to take you somewhere..
Amma: Enga da kanna?(Where?)

Mowgli: To the Diamond Store..
Amma: (I was amazed, but did not show that to him) Ethuku da?(why?)

Mowgli: I am going to buy you diamonds and emeralds and ruby..

Amma: Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa(!!!)

Mowgli: Yeah.. You can take whatever you want...
Amma: Anything???

Mowgli: Ear ring, necklace or anything you like amma...

So innocent my Mowgli is... He does not know, that we need to pay for them(he thinks that he can swipe his dad's card)..
Today after MM took Mowgli to school, me and Nemo were playing for a while. As I had bought some plants, I went out to our patio and started to plant them. Suddenly I felt something fishy (usually Nemo will be sticking to me). I turned around and saw Nemo laughing at me. Ooops I was locked out in my patio. It was a glass door & he could see me through it. I begged him to open the door. He laughed at me again(so innocent it was). I was in my shabby pajama, uncombed hair, dirty hands and with no slippers. I went to our neighbor, who is an elderly lady and told her everything. Got her phone and called MM. He told that he left the windows open in the bed room and asked me to go in to the house through the window. So I went to the Bedroom window and tried to open it. Unfortunately, it had two locks and only one was open and the other was not. Hmm.. I went to our neighbor and borrowed her phone again and called MM. What can he do, his office was 45 mins away from our house... Anyway he said he will come... Now I have to spend some 45 mins or more(depending upon the traffic situation) in the patio. Fortunately Nemo was in good spirit, he started to play with me. We were playing Peek-a-boo, Sha boo threes and was singing rhymes. It went for 25 mins. Then he started banging the door to open it. As sun was shining on his eyes, he went to his train & started to play with it. I was praying god, that he should not go inside some other room, where I could not see him. Then he started to play with the DVD player. One by one he started to play the movies. There were 5 movies in the player and one of them was a movie about volcanoes. When he played it, it started with a scary sound, he was terrified and was about to come to me, while my Knight in shining armor appeared and rescued my sweet little pumpkin.. He dint get down from his dad for a while.. I thanked my neighbors and came in.. Thus all my day's work was delayed by one hour..

Interestingly, I should thank God for four things

1. Nemo did not panic / he did not realize that he got locked inside..
2. Our neighbor was at home
3. I remembered MM's cell phone number.
4. The weather was good outside today. lots of birds, blooms and even sun. hi hi.

Today is sure an exciting day isn't it?..
My good friend Mookuthi, sent me a link for a free gardening workshop at Homedepot. I finished all my works and went there in time. But nobody was there. I started asking each and every employee, who pass by. And at last, an elderly women came. She asked me, the type of garden I have. Ooops.. I do not have a garden. I just have a patio, where I grow some small plants. I told here about my plants. She gave me a coupon and said there is going to be a draw on it. And she started explaining lots of things about plants and how to take care of them.. In no time, an hour passed. I was the only one attending the workshop. But when people saw us both talking about plants, they gathered around us and started to listen. When she was done with her explanations, there were some 10-15 people around us. She handed a coupon to everyone. She shuffled the counterpart of the coupons and took one out of it. Guess who the winner is??? It is me. Hi hi hi hi.. I got a big hanging Pelargonium plant.. I was already happy and satisfied with the workshop. In addition to it, I got a super duper gift too. Isn't it an excellent day, today?..
I used to think Why this much hype for Christmas, Easter or Halloween in this country.. And I also felt that they all target the kids.. I mean like Santa will come leave a gift for the kids and with Easter egg huntings and the Halloween Costumes for the kids etc..
Last week, I met an Indian woman(North Indian while I am a South Indian) we were chatting.. She was asking how I am preparing for my festival next week. I was literally blinking( I don't know what it was). Looking at my puzzled face, she told that she was talking about the Tamil new year. Ooops.. And our conversation went on.
Now coming to the point, how will I celebrate Tamil new year??? I used to get up early in the morning, go to temple and greet friends & relatives.. Everyone in Tamilnadu/Tamilian does that.. What is exciting about that? Will my Mowgli or Nemo ever appreciate or enjoy it? Or any other kid/younger generation enjoy it? No way. Will they ever think about it in future.. If they dont enjoy something, how can they pass on that to their younger generation? Now I understood why there is hype for Christmas, Easter or Halloween. They make the Kid to expect/wait for that day and the kids enjoy and appreciate them. And they remember the good time and the excitements they had forever. And they pass on the tradition to their younger generation. Makes sense isn't it?

p.s.: Our Deepavali has Cracker/holiday/snacks and Our Pongal has sugarcane/holiday/snacks, which will excite the kids. The Festivals which is not exciting for kids will definitely die soon. What can I do about that? Nothing much but I made lots of bakshanams(snacks) and drew some kolam and let the kids color them.. hi hi
Manjarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03032146963568213295noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6727776337993433803.post-89068066075033789112011-04-13T22:54:00.000-07:002011-04-23T20:22:28.582-07:00Today

I would have died.. Today while cleaning my Patio I saw this Mums plant. I bought it last September and used the flowers for my Kolu. It was still there in my Patio for the past six months in all the snow and freezing rough weather, it has taken all the pain to live..
Today as I was driving Mowgli to his school, I saw a Cop.. I was thinking what will he ask me, if he catches me. license!!!. As we were late, I was in my track pant. . And the license was safe in my Jeans hanging in the closet(obviously at home). Oooops... After going home, the first thing I did was keeping my wallet(license) along with my Van key.. Went to library today and selected few books & dvds and I was rubbing my pant for the wallets. But it was with the Van key, which I forgot to take. Oooops. Run, run, run to home. And I ran driving home ;-) without the license again.
Manjarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03032146963568213295noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6727776337993433803.post-25382314882882516202011-04-11T21:01:00.000-07:002011-04-19T08:52:26.703-07:00My everyday
5.00 A.M Alarm Buzz
5.15 to 6.00 Pranayama(Breathing exercise)
6.05 to 6.50 Gym
6.55 Water therapy
7.00 Morning chores starts Cooking, Feeding, Dressing up my Mowgli to school
8.25 MM takes Mowgli to school.
8.30-11.45 Feeding, Bathing, Playing with my Nemo, India Calls, Cleaning house, Washing clothes
Nemo used to sleep by 10.30 A.M now-a-days he does not sleep at all.. On Tuesdays he got his Mother Goose program in Library at this time. I go for shopping either on Mondays or Fridays at this time.
11.30 Tea time
11.45 Picking-up my Mowgli.
12.15 Feeding the kids again, Reading books, Playing, Chit chating blah blah...
1.00 Lunch time for me.
2.30-4.30 Kids goes for their nap..
While they sleep, Mail checking, Dhyanam, Farmville, Chatting with friends, Library routines, Blogging and again a Tea.. Now-a-days even Mowgli rarely sleeps.. If he doesn't, that is a real big problem for Nemo to sleep.. He will bang this or that and wake up Nemo. And Mowgli has his Ice-skating classes on Wednesdays and Swimming classes on Thursdays. So those two days are busy days for me..
4.30-6.00 Kids wake up.. snacks for them, small walk or cycling..
6.30-7.00 Cooking, Dish washing, Grinding blah blah...
7.30 Dinner time.
8.30 Milk for the kids.
9.00 Story/book for the kids
9.30 kids goes to sleep.
This is the perfect routine, I always love. But mostly my Nemo wont let me go to Gym, by being awake all through the night or exactly by 5 AM .. I think he has an alarm in his body... or Mowgli wakes up exactly by 5.30 AM for his pee-pee and bangs the bathroom door & wakes up Nemo..
I really really wonder, how women work along with their household chores. Some days I will have lots of time to chat with friends and relatives. Some days I will be running here and there with lots of work & that is exactly when I will get call from people saying I am not calling them:-(
I always feel bad about me not working. But the interesting part is that being at home gives me lot of time to spend with my little ones. Let me enjoy the innocence of my kids, as I may not get them as they grow older. At present, I really love being a mom..
Manjarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03032146963568213295noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6727776337993433803.post-2165286454594093512011-03-31T13:39:00.000-07:002011-04-01T13:49:15.135-07:00Life

This is good/inspiring, isn't it? This may be the last full year here in US. Let me finish up some tasks, which I cannot do there.( I will have other important works to do there ;-))
1.Speech therapy -- mm is having trouble pronouncing some letters/words.. So I have to straighten it up before we go back to India..
2.Learn Swimming - I started this long back while mm was 6 months old and due to some reasons I could not continue with it. Now my tiny nm is 19 months old. I am still a half swimmer.. I dont want to go to India as a half swimmer..
3. To learn photography -- Whenever I see our new SLR I feel like exploring it.. But somehow, I could not.. The main reason is I dont find a reasonable time to spend with it (you are right I am a bad time organizer).. And this auto option, which dilutes my inspiration by giving an excellent output..
4. Ice skating -- I have even bought my own shoes to try this.. let see..
5. Guitar -- This Guitar is with us for the last 6 years.. Whenever I see it, it is pleading me to use him. My target is at least a small rhyme with it.. ;-)
6.To learn about the stocks - For a long long long time I am thinking about it. Lets see how this works..

Spring started yesterday! and it is snowing today... My Mowgli and Nemo are sad as they could not go for a walk, along with all the birds and squirrels who are also upset about the weather.. Last week the weather was soo nice. We even went out without our jackets. We also packed our winter items in a box and kept it in our storage. And now it is snowing & they have predicted more snow this week. I do not know how this snow will affect my plants.. lets see.
I liked this crocus plants and planted lot of its bulbs in our patio. Two days before when I shot this pic, only one of the bloom was there. Today I shot the other pic with all the snow, all three of them (yellow, white and purple) were ready to bloom. Look at their growth in just two days..
They open their petal only when they see sun otherwise they remain closed. But we can plant them under a tree as they bloom before a tree would get its fresh sprouts...
Interesting fact: Saffron (Kunguma poo) is also a crocus and is called Saffron crocus but it belongs to Iris family...
